Issue 16 bis of the “Educatio” journal on the Global Compact on Education is now online
We are pleased to announce the publication of issue 16 bis of the Educatio journal, now available for free access. The result of a joint collaboration between Educatio and the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), this issue complements issue 16, which was published online at the beginning of the Jubilee of Education in October 2025. The initial call for contributions was designed to be part of the Jubilee Year‘s momentum in order to contribute to the establishment and sharing of a forward-looking assessment of Christian educational proposals. This issue, whose publication coincides with the end of the Jubilee Year, brings together original contributions from researchers and practitioners from different parts of the world, illustrating the different faces and paths of hope that education offers.
An international panorama of academic contributions
Issue 16 bis brings together contributions from: María Carolina Riva Posse (Universidad del Salvador, Argentina), Claire Lebrethon (Catholic Institute of Toulouse, France), María Victoria Scarpatti (Universidad del Salvador, Argentina), Louis Lourme (Facultés Loyola, France), Lucie Roger (Vincent de Paul Réseaux & Formation, France), Sr. Dr. Teresa Joseph fma (Auxilium, India), Eva Gyarmathy (Apor Vilmos Catholic College, Hungary), Andrea Isabel Alsina Alvarenga and Sofia Pekarek (Catholic University of Salta, Argentina), Wenceslas Busane and Ruhana Mirindi (Catholic University of Bukavu, DRC), Michael Yurievich Kuznetsov (Faculty of Philosophy Kharkiv, Ukraine), and Patricia Fonseca Ferreira Fleury (Pontificia Universidade Católica do Paraná, Brazil).
Read and share
As the editorial points out, this publication is also part of a phase of re-reading and reinterpreting the Global Compact on Education in light of the pastoral and anthropological priorities of Pope Leo XIV’s pontificate. This enriches the Compact and renews our understanding of contemporary education.
